This is Vashon.

Welcome to our rural rock, nestled between the bustling centers of Seattle and Tacoma. There’s an innate and natural ruggedness of character here that reflects the Pacific Northwest’s rich, unvarnished beauty. We believe it harkens to an era of simple wonders, unquestioned authenticity, and everyday fulfillment.

No, we aren’t wearing rose-colored glasses. This quality is tangible. It’s felt in the shafts of kayak paddles, the outstretched hands of divers, the lines of boaters’ crab pots. It’s seen by beachcombers with eyes downcast, hikers with ascendant gazes, farmers market shoppers browsing local goods. It’s tasted in the produce cultivated from fertile soil, the choicest libations crafted by down-to-earth artisans, the culinary bounty plated by storied chefs. It’s reflected in stimulating public artwork and neighborly waves at four-way stops.

We consider ourselves lucky to live here. And we consider every visitor a potential future neighbor. Whether you’re a resident or a daytripper, you’re in the right place to get better acquainted with our community.

Why we moved to Vashon.

After so many trips to Vashon while we were dating it became clear that Vashon felt like home. So, we gave up life in the city to put down some metaphorical and physical roots. Ten years later, we are the happiest we’ve ever been living our farm life dream.
