Vashon Chamber Reorganizes to Serve the Vashon Community

The Vashon Chamber Board of Directors is delighted to announce the promotion of Nichole Banducci to the role of Executive Director. Nichole started with the Vashon Chamber this past spring in a Member Services role. She has been a wonderful asset during the recent transitions in the Chamber office and we look forward to seeing her grow within our organization.

As Executive Director, Nichole can invest time in the positive evolution of the Chamber; her previous responsibilities as Member Services Coordinator will be a critical part of her new  role.

“With the appointment of our new Executive Director, we're entering an exciting chapter for the Vashon-Maury Chamber of Commerce. This leadership, coupled with our refreshed operating structure, positions us to better serve our community, support local businesses, and build a stronger, more vibrant future for Vashon Island," writes Cheryl Lubbert, President of Vashon-Maury Chamber of Commerce and Co-Owner/Founder of Nashi Orchards.

Nichole will be able to leverage her incredible professional background as our new Executive Director. With a B.A. in Public Relations and MBA in Marketing, plus years of experience in Brand Management and Consulting, Nichole is excited to leverage her expertise to benefit our island community, nonprofits and businesses.

Moving to Vashon just over a year ago, Nichole and her family have quickly become a part of our community. Nichole spends time volunteering for various Island organizations and enjoys our local hiking trails. Her husband, Brian, works at VHS and is the head coach of the High School Football and Middle School Wrestling teams. Their daughter, Cora, attends Chautauqua elementary and is active in soccer, aerial and VCA’s musical theater program. Their wirehaired pointer, Augie, still rejects the idea of long hikes, but enjoys the simple life of barking at deer from the deck.

Continually improving how we serve Vashon, while managing budget guidelines, the Chamber will reorganize how we manage activities. The revised structure includes: Chamber Executive Director, Director of Islanders for Ferry Action, Strawberry Festival Project Manager and road closures execution team.

Amy Drayer will continue her critical role as Director of Islanders for Ferry Action. Plus, we’ll be finalizing the contract details for the Strawberry Festival Project Manager and road closures team.

It’s been a busy year for the Vashon-Maury Island Chamber of Commerce. From launching the Islanders for Ferry Action group, to hosting one of the most successful Strawberry Festivals in recent years, the Chamber of Commerce is excited to continue to add value to our community.

We look forward to continued success and growth at the Vashon-Maury Chamber of Commerce as we reorganize to better serve Vashon Island.
